How do we measure WELLness in a Building?

An Introduction to the WELL Building Standard

This program will provide an overview of the WELL Building Standard and how it will inform future design considerations. Health and wellness are new and important dimensions to high performance building design. The WELL Building Standard is grounded in the understanding that mindful design can avoid the most harmful human health risks from prolonged exposure to indoor environments and the associated conveniences of modern society. The WELL Accredited Professional (AP) designation completes a building designer or manager’s understanding of how buildings can influence health.

Our speaker for the program will be Charlie Cichetti, WELL AP, LEED AP BD+C, ID+C, O+M, ND, Homes.

Charlie is proud to be one of the leaders in the green building industry. He has built a career around green building services, and led two companies that hold sustainability leadership as core values—Sustainable Investment Group (SIG) and Green Building Education Services (GBES.com). Both companies allow Charlie the opportunity to put his high-level LEED expertise and accreditation to work.

Charlie has led many green building projects (over 50 Million SF of LEED/ENERGY STAR/Cx-RCx) to LEED Gold, and even a few to the highest mark: Platinum.

Charlie has facilitated online and in-person training sessions that have helped tens of thousands of professionals obtain LEED accreditation. Charlie is a master trainer on sustainability topics, an ENERGY STAR Expert, and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Quite simply, Charlie is invested in the success of the green building industry. He believes in it and enjoys working with people and buildings around the world to create the highest level of sustainability.
