HVAC Application Engineer

Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an HVAC Application Engineer in the HVAC Advanced Products Division in Suwanee, GA

This position will be responsible for providing engineering support and product / project management for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC (MEHVAC) products and accessory product lines MEHVAC products to include, but not limited to:

• Mr. Slim
• Lossnay
• Jet Towel Hand-dryers
• Line-Hide Cover System
• Diamondback Linesets
• Provide daily consultative product specification information and application guidance/support for both internal and external customers on assigned products and accessories
• Create dimensional drawings of products and accessories using AutoCAD or AutoCAD
• Create and review technical documentation, such as technical presentations, guide specifications, submittals, application notes, installation and/or operating Instructions, and white papers
• Work with internal departments, such as Operations, Marketing, and Service, to provide understanding, training, and lead company integration on both existing and upcoming products/accessories
• Consult with Marketing Department and Factory Liaison Department to create collateral, such as sales catalogs, technical brochures, pricing guides, and web content
• Conduct market and competitive analysis
• Assist in the identification of future product requirements based on key customer input and market/competitive analysis
• Manage third-party vendor projects, including technical, marketing, and integration activities
• Support technical activities of the Application Support department to include technical documentation and presentation generation
• Develop ongoing relationships with MEHVAC sales staff and key customers
• Various support functions relating to specific sales activities and opportunities
• Other tasks and projects as requested

• Prefer degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering/technical discipline
• Prefer minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC or a related industry
• Excellent communication, presentation, training and technical writing skills
• Strong computer skills required – especially with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCADL
• Analytical approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail
• Team oriented and self motivated
• Prepared to travel 30%
